In a world of temperamental dragons and unreasonable humans, patient and reasonable Hiccup and non fire breathing Toothless were both misfits. Yet their relationship changed the world- this we saw at the end of the first movie. This one starts off in thrilling style, with Hiccup's friends engaging in a juvenile dragon race, which is a cross between basketball and buzkashi. Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) however, prefers prosaic activities such as skimming with the whales, trying his hand at gliding, and in general running away from the leadership role that his father, Stoic the Vast (Gerard Butler), wants him to don. In one of his expeditions, he comes across a vast horde of dragons, and meets the source of his dragon whispering skills- his long lost mother, Valka (Cate Blanchett). Toothless meanwhile is no longer a pet, he and Hiccup are but one soul. There is a power hungry villain, Drago (Djimon Honsou) in the horizon though, who wants to build and commandeer a dragon army. Hiccup and Toothless must overcome personal loss and fight their heart out to save what they have so painstakingly built.

Anderson came up with an ingenious way of bringing back characters who had suffered brutal deaths in the previous films, including Rain (Michelle Rodriguez, and always great playing several characters) and Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory in acting weak and full of catchphrases). Carlos (Oded Fehr, great), Luther West (Boris Kodjoe, good) and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) also return in style. Who gives a show is China\'s Li Bingbing (\'The Forbidden Kingdom\'), who lives Ada Wong, Wesker agent that fights alongside Alice. Very comfortable in the role, she will win over fans of the games and movies. Johann Urb also shows great talent as Leon Scott Kennedy. The sequence in which Alice appears as a simple housewife in the suburbs is the best, showing that what is missing is the action excessive leave aside and return to the horror genre - Anderson seems to know that driving with more wisdom. \'Resident Evil 5: Retribution\' will appeal to fans of the franchise and action movies, with breathtaking sequences and doses of suspense and laughs volunteers - but starts to show some wear. Lawless is a great film from beginning to end that will have you glued to the screen but will divide viewers because in it\'s own way Lawless subverts the gangster movie genre because it\'s not a morality tale or a rise and fall gangster film like we\'ve seen in the past it\'s a story about a family of brothers trying to survive and defend themselves from enemies. The direction by John Hillcoat is wonderful, bringing the same grit and style that Hillcoat brought to the underrated,overlooked western The Proposition and his other underrated film the Cormac McCarthy adaptation The Road.
