Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom: A valley in the mountain country of the western United States is the territory of the Golden Eagle, America's largest and most powerful bird of prey. Marlin and Jim locate an eyrie (nest) of this magnificent bird, and build a blind high on a rocky cliff so they can photograph its nesting habits. Humor and drama are interwoven as the young eagle, in his search for food, follows a skunk into his den...and later finds out that a fast dive at a sitting duck results in his first unwanted bath. His territory is invaded by a forest fire, and the hunting is made easier as the other animals of the valley flee the flames. He is trapped by man in a scientific experiment, but later released to continue his life in the "Valley of Eagles."
