The Jack Benny Program: Twentieth Century Fox is planning to film Jack's life story, and he has become unbearably conceited. Don looks for a Lucky Strike at Jack's house, and a series of treasure hunt notes end with his being locked out of the house. At the Fox studios, Jack encounters the director of The Horn Blows at Midnight working as a parking lot attendant. Buddy Adler informs Jack that he is not going to star in the picture, Van Johnson is; Jack is going to play his own father.
