The Jeffersons: Ralph, the doorman, wants a raise and Louise and George give him the confidence he needs to ask Mr. Whittendale. However, the results are totally unexpected to him, when Mr. Whittendale announces the fact that he will no longer be needed, since they're going to install an automatic elevator.
